Individual Note:
     There are a couple of interesting points about Robert Reginal and they are:- 1. The surname Lay was changed to LEY as a result of continual teasing at school ( "lay an egg") and he was commonly known as Rex. It was not until he died that his wife Neva found out what his correct name was at birth. 2. The other issue relates to his birthday. He was actually born on 1st April however there was no way that his mother would go through the "April Fool" scene so she changed his birthday to the 2nd. Once again this was not discovered until after his death. 3. Throughout his life he spelt his name as Reginald Erwin Ley

Individual Note:
     Thomas entered into a relationship with Elizabeth Tindall (nee Anderson) in 1891. Elizabeth had five children from her marriage to William Tindall. Thomas and Elizabeth had four children. Elizabeth died in 1898 giving birth to twins. The twins were given to a family called Bullock. The birth of the twins were registered under the name of Tindell and also under Elizabeth's maiden name of Anderson. In 1899 Thomas married his step daughter Sarah Elizabeth Tindall
