Nellie Demus died at 101
FAIRMONT — Nellie Demus, 101, of Worthington, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018.
She was born in Uniontown on April 18, 1917, daughter of the late Nick Demus Sr. and Theresa Elizabeth Cavallo Demus.
Nellie, along with her brother, Nick, started Demus Key Market in 1950 and worked with him for 55 years.
Nellie is survived by her brothers, James Demus and his wife Erma of Shinnston, and Michael Demus of Bridgeport; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by her brothers, Nick Demus, Jr. and Larry Demus; and her sisters, Rose Argiro, Joan Demus, Theresa Demus and Madeline Schram.
Arrangements are under the care of Domico Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Edgar F. Mitchell, age 88 of Smithfield, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.
Son of the late Albert and Nellie (Stiles) Mitchell, Ed was a Korean Army Veteran,
retiring from the United States Army as a military combat photographer. He then retired
from General Electric. Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Chizue (Morikawa) Mitchell,
a sister and two brothers.

Brookelin Dawn Rowand, 24, of Morgantown, formerly of Carolina, died Wednesday January 9, 2019 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born July 15, 1994 in Morgantown, a daughter of Robbie Rowand of Carolina and Jerri Martin Kincaid of Fairmont.
Brookelin was a 2013 graduate of North Marion High School where she was a member of the Noteables and attended West Virginia University. She worked several different jobs, mainly in the restaurant industry, as she enjoyed cooking. She was currently employed at Teletech in Morgantown. She enjoyed camping, rock climbing (among other outdoor activities) and travelling. She was formerly a member of the Civil Air Patrol and attended Covenant Church in Fairmont, where she enjoyed working in the puppet ministry. She also loved the arts, music and singing. Above all, she loved her daughter Bella.
Survivors include her daughter: Bella Paugh; her parents: Robbie and Susan Rowand and Jerri Martin Kincaid; her grandparents: Bob and Linda Rowand, Mannington, and James and Rose Martin, Fairmont; her brothers: Nathan Rowand, Carolina, and Daniel Davis, Grafton; her uncles: J.L. Martin, Farmington, and Danny (Donna) Rowand, Mannington; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by a grandmother: Lenora Floyd; and an aunt: Terri Tufts.
Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home, 3171 Husky Highway, Farmington on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 2-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday with Pastors Josh Morgan and Roy Weese officiating.
