Charlotte "Joan" Stiles
August 26, 1930 - October 22, 2017
Charlotte “Joan” Stiles, 87, of Benwood, WV died Sunday, October 22, 2017, in Wheeling Hospital.
She was born on August 26, 1930, in Butler, PA.  She was the daughter of the late Roy and Charlotte (Jones) Richardson.
Charlotte was a member of the First Church of God in McMechen, WV.  She was a Sunday school teacher and a Life Time Deaconess who took care of the World Vision Fund for more than 40 years.
She was a member of the Marshall County Republican Executive Committee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Edward Stiles; her son, Kenneth Edward McCloskey and four siblings, Kenneth Richardson, Betty Finnegan, Sarah Buzzard and Ralph Richardson.
Survivors include her children, Stephen McCloskey (Velia),  Laura McCloskey Geisler (Bobb),  Becky Stiles  all of McMechen, WV, Thomas Stiles (Debbie) of Moundsville, WV and David Stiles (Nancy) of Wheeling, WV; 7 grandchildren, Tammy (Bill) Jeffries, Courtney (Bob) Allen, Bonnie (Ryan) McCloskey, Stephen McCloskey, Erin Giesler, Paul Giesler and Heather Giesler; 4 great-grandchildren, Arron Jeffries, Natalie Jeffries, Elizabeth Allen and McKenzie Allen; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 26, 2017, from 3 pm to 7 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes & Kirby-Vance Chapels, 118 Grant Avenue, Moundsville, WV where funeral services will be held at 7 pm with Pastor Mitch Johnston officiating.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Mt. Rose Cemetery in Moundsville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Church of God P.O. Box 102 McMechen, WV 26040.

Obituary:


Marshall M. Pigott
Death of paralysia claimed Marshall M. Pigott 69 prominent farmer of Bingamon.
Clay district yesterday morning at 9am Mr. Pigott had spent his entire life in this section and was one of clay district's most highly respected citizens.
Furneral serivces will be held tomorrow monring at 10:30am from the home. Interment will follow at the Odd Fellows cemetery at Wyatt.
Besides his widow, Mr. Pigott is survived by one son, Talbot of Bingamon, and one daughter. Mrs Chester Harbert, of Lumberport. Seven brothers and two sisters also survive. They are: Luther Pigott, Pospect Valley, Elmer Pigott Helen's Run, Benjamin Pigott, Enterprise, Fletcher Pigott, Bingamon, Ellis Pigott, California, Arthur Pigott, Missouri, Herbert Pigott, Morgantown, and Mrs. Clara Michaels, Ohio, Mrs. Arthur Martin Robinson's Run Four grandchildren and two great granchildren also survive
