John Thomas Hugill, 76, died at 9 p.m. Friday, July 31, 1987, in his home at 706 N. Boone St., Olney.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Bowen presiding. There will be no visitation. The body was cremated. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, for the committal of ashes. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Olney Veterans Organizations.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church or Richland Memorial Hospital Home Health Services.
Mr. Hugill was born Nov. 7, 1910, in Clarksburg, W. Va., the son of Edmund and Minnie (Power) Hugill. He married Katheryn (Kay) Hugill on March 26, 1940 in Union, Mo.
He was a landman for Black and Black Oil Co.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Olney, Masonic Lodge No. 140 A.F. and A.M., Belleville Consistory and a WWII U.S. Navy Seebees Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Kay; a son, John Randall (Jeanette) Hugill of New York, N.Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Jacqulin) Davis of Terre Haute, Ind., and Mrs. Joil (Patricia) Goff of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a brother, Edmund P. Hugill of Mt. Vernon; six grandchildren; two nephews; and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
