Death of Mrs. Elizabeth Weaver
Mrs Elizabeth Weaver, wife of James Weaver, of Clover Creek, near Williamsburg, died at the home of her son, U.M. Weaver, 326 Third Ave, Tuesday night at ten minutes of 12 o'clock. She and her husbnd came to altoona to spend the winter with their son, at whose home of the died, and with their daughter, Mrs. S. S Flake. Mrs. Weaver was born November 10, 1810, in Cumberland County, this state. Her maiden name was Edelblate. She was married to james Weaver april 13, 1833, and to them were born nine children--three sons and six daughters. Two of the daughters preceded her to the better land. The surviving children are: F. E. of Mapleton; Rose M, of Hopewell, U. M. of Altoona. Mrs Bell C. wife of SS Gloke, of Altoona. Mrs Samantha, wife of John Householder, of McConellstown, Mrs Mary A. K., wife of W. B. Blake, of Hopewell, and Mrs Rachel M., wife of Joseph Slard, of Williamsburg.
The funeral will take place from the residence of U. M. Weaver at 10 o'clock on Friday morning and will be conducted by Revs. F. M. Welsh and J. B. Stein. Interment is Fairview cemetery, Mrs. Weaver was consistent member of the Methodist Eplscopal church and was ne of the good women of this world.
