     Mr. Albert Rush


April 24, 1925 - August 7, 2016


Albert Milton Rush, 91, of Crystal River, Florida, passed away August 7, 2016. Al was born April 24, 1925 in Pine Bank, PA to Robert M. and Harriet (Stiles) Rush. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 69 years, Elizabeth Hoffman Rush in 2014, an infant son: Larry Rush, an infant great grandson: Stephen Harrison, two brothers: Charles and Paul Rush and two sisters: Gail Lucille Roupe and Leota Lapping. He retired as district foreman from Dominion Gas Company in Clarksburg, WV. He was a US Army veteran. After retiring, Albert and his wife "Betty" moved to Arizona for several years and traveled all over the world. They moved back to Milton, WV and then to Florida in 2013. Albert is survived by two sons: David Rush (Sue) of Citrus Springs, FL and Mike Rush (Nancy) of Lecanto, FL and daughter Barbara Rush of Milton, WV, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Cedar Creek Assisted Living Facility and Hospice of Citrus County for their compassion and care. Albert requested that any donations in his honor be made to Hospice. A memorial service will be held at a later date for Albert and Betty at Crystal River United Methodist Church, where they were members.      Elizabeth L. Rush, 88, of Crystal River, Florida, passed away Sept. 21, 2014. Betty, as she was known, was born June 18, 1926, in Brave, Pennsylvania, to Henry and Minnie Phillips Hoffmann. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Larry Rush; a brother, Rudolph Hoffman; a sister, Mary Bissett; and a grandson, Stephen Harrison.

Betty and Al moved to Crystal River from Milton, West Virginia, in 2013. Before moving to West Virginia, they resided in Arizona for several years. She made many friends along the way. Betty and Albert especially enjoyed traveling throughout the world. Betty was a member of Crystal River United Methodist Church. She served actively in the United Methodist Women Organization.

She is survived by Albert Rush, her husband of 69 years. She also leaves behind sons, David Rush (Suzanne) of Citrus Springs and Michael Rush (Nancy) of Lecanto; a daughter, Barbara Rush of Milton, West Virginia; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services. The family wishes to thank Cedar Creek Assisted Living Facility and Hospice of Citrus County for their compassion during this time.
