From The Gospel Messenger, January 3, 1888 McKimmy -- "In the Swan Creek church,
Lenawee County, Michigan, Nov 23, (1887) sister Mary McKimmy, aged 69 years and
21 days. Deceased was a consistent member of the Brethren church. She suffered a
long time but bore it patiently. She was born in Pennsylvania but when nine
years old moved with her parents to West Virginia. At the age of 28 years she
was married to James McKimmy. Soon afterwards both she and her husband united
with the church. She was with mother of fourteen children, of whom seven,
together with her husband, preceded her to the spirit world. She leaves
forty-two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. May all her children
live faithful, so they may meet their mother in heaven. Services by the writer.

Aurora -- John M. Wilt died Sunday at his home in Aurora, Preston County, where he had been a life-time .resident. The deceased is upwards of 70 years of age.
The deceased was one of the most prominent citizens of Preston County and served with distinct
throughout the Civil War. He was well known throughout this county also, and had
many friends in Grafton who will regret to hear the news of his demise.
No particulars have been received as yet in regard to the funeral arrangements.
