Justice F. “Big” Nuzum Jr., age 88, a resident of Madison, Ohio, passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at Austinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Austinburg, Ohio.


Born April 26, 1923, in Bridgeport, W.Va., he was a son of the late Lillie (Martin) and Justice Fordice Nuzum Sr. On Dec. 29, 1961, he married Mary Virginia Nuzum in Geneva, Ohio.



Mr. Nuzum was a Factory Worker at 3M.


He enjoyed his 5 acre garden and canning vegetables.


Survivors include his wife, Mary Virginia Nuzum of Madison; sons, Gerald (Dorothy) Nuzum of Boothville, W.Va., Daniel Nuzum of Geneva and Darrell Rose of Thompson, Ohio; daughters, Janet Nuzum of Painesville, Ohio, and Patricia (Terry) Watts of Geneva; stepsons, Charles (Frances) Riffle of Madison and Lonnie (Phyllis) Riffle of Harpersfield, Ohio; stepdaughter, Monta (Ralph) Myers of Madison; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-daughter, Charlotte Stec; and several brothers and sisters.


Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 25th, at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio.


Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 26th, at the Funeral Home. Final resting place will be at Perry Cemetery.
