Jean May Wilt
SWANTON — Jean May Wilt, 77, Swanton, died on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017,
at her home and surrounded by her family.
Born on Aug. 7, 1940, in Elkton, she was a daughter of the late Edward C. and Amanda S. (Wileman) Smith.
She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Milton W. Wilt; children, John “Rick” Livengood Jr.
and wife Brenda, Deer Park, and Brenda Beckman and husband Don, Oakland; grandchildren, Amanda Sines and husband Travis, Jeremiah King and wife Katie, Hannah, Brittney, and Chelsea Wiltison, and Haley Livengood; six great-grandchildren; a brother and sister, Harold Smith and Mabel Lynam; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Reid King; and a brother and two sisters, Robert Smith, Lois Murphy, and Doris Thomas.
Friends will be received at the C&S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland, this Friday,
Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to noon, after which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Matthew
Paugh officiating. Interment will follow in the George Cemetery, Swanton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Garrett County, P.O. Box 271, Oakland, MD 21550.

Clarence Edward "Ted" Bowman


OAKLAND — Clarence Edward “Ted” Bowman, 81, Oakland, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018, at his home.
Born on Oct. 22, 1936, in Freeport, W.Va., he was a son of the late Clarence A. and Virginia A. (O’Haver) Bowman.
He was a graduate of Oakland High School and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.



He had attended the Fairview Church of the Brethren. Ted had worked as an electrician for Mettiki Coal and also as a TV/CB repairman for Kelly’s Appliance and Furniture Store.
To many, he was known by his CB handle/nickname of “RCA.” Ted had also played the accordion for the Gospel Hillbillies. He loved music and was able to play every instrument by ear, never reading a piece of music.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Linda (Wilt) Bowman; his children, Penny Knotts and husband Keith, Parsons, W.Va., Ruth Bowman, Greenbelt, Tammy Lewis and husband Allen, Oakland, Theresa Luteri, English, Ind., Katrina Thayer, Swanton, Jeff Bowman, Salisbury, and Mike Bowman, Aurora, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his beloved cats.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Fraley and Ramona Shillingburg.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Friends will be received at the C&S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland, on Friday, April 20, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be held in the Fairview Church of the Brethren, 1101 Fairview Church Rd., Oakland, on Saturday, April 21, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Sam Moon officiating. Private interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery.

Virginia Lee "Jenny" Nazelrod
SWANTON — Virginia Lee “Jenny” Nazelrod, 69, Chestnut Grove Road, Swanton, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018, at her residence.
Born Nov. 4, 1948, in Swanton, she was a daughter of the late Vernon and Susan (Ray) Wilt.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eston Robert Nazelrod, on July 8, 1997.
“Jenny” was retired from Garrett Memorial Hospital, having worked in the dietary department.
She leaves behind two daughters, Melissa Lohr and husband Jeff, Tebbetts, Mo., and Angela Seighman and husband Stephen, Oakland; one brother, Milton Wilt, Swanton; four sisters, Linda Bowman, Oakland, Jane Harsh, Eglon, W.Va., Phyllis Tichnell, Swanton, and Shirley Tichnell and husband Chris, Swanton.
She is also survived by five grandchildren, Kristin Lohr, Phillip Lohr, Miranda Lohr, Emily Nazelrod, and Alexis Hoye; four great-grandchildren, Summer, Sadie, Sophia and Penelope; and a special niece, Tina Thomas, Accident.
At Jenny’s request, her body was cremated.
There will be no visitation or services.
Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, assisted the family with arrangements.
