MANITOU BEACH, Mich.
Lois Anne Jordan of Manitou Beach lost her fight with diabetes on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at home with family by her side.Lois was born April 5, 1939, to Elmer E. and Maxine (Easton) Wilt. She married Dennis L. Jordan on Oct. 10, 1957, in Tecumseh, and he survives. Lois worked for Tibbs IGA, the U.S. Postal Service, tested vehicles for AMC at Michigan International Speedway and then worked at Teleflex in Hillsdale. She enjoyed her family, grandkids, great-grandkids, friends, the Detroit Tigers, NASCAR and her flowers.She is survived by her husband, Dennis; two sons, Andrew L. (Claudia Conners), Calvin E. Jordan; one daughter, LuAnn D. Roberts (Rick); seven grandchildren, Andrea Boley, (Kenneth), Crystal Roback (Dean Freudenberg), Cory Jordan (Crystal), Breanna Rios, Justin, Hanna and Dillon Jordan; eight great-grandchildren, Abygale, Hannah, Matthew, Nathan, Annabelle, Isabelle, Ava and Ellie; two brothers, Carl (Susie) Wilt, Robert L. (Toni) Wilt; one sister, Ruth E. Lee (Neil Perrine); one sister-in-law, Charlotte Wilt; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, one brother, John Wilt; and a great-grandson, Rico.A Memorial Service for family and friends will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at The Highland Inn, 3171 Round Lake Highway, Manitou Beach, Mich. Flowers or memorial contributions to be made to Allegiance Hospice or the Diabetes Foundation. Arrangements were entrusted to the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison.
