     THE VILLAGES – John R. Stiles, 77, died on Wednesday, November 28, 2012. He was born on August 12, 1935 in Wadestown, W. VA. He graduated from Morgantown High School and enlisted in the Navy following graduation. He rose in rank to Master Chief Petty Officer. His career deployments took him to many places throughout the world culminating in his being selected as Master Chief Petty Office of the Command for U. S. Naval Forces Europe in 1972. John came to The Villages with his wife Billie Gene from Sedona, AZ in 2002. He is survived by his wife Billie Gene Stiles, son, John Carter Stiles of Wingo, KY, daughter, Elizabeth Ann Brewer of Oviedo, FL, brother, Glenn Stiles of Cheyenne, WY, and sisters, Lydia Teets of Richmond, VA and Naomi Diggers of Hampton, VA. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Shelter of Marion County or Hospice of Marion County. Arrangements by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services- The Villages, FL

Staci Armfield age 23 of Morristown passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 in Nacogdoches, TX. She was an active member of the Army National Guard, Unit 278th Armored Calvary Regiment. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Eva Armfield and grandfather Alvin Howell, Sr. Survivors include her mother Lisa Prather, father Alvin Howell, Jr., grandmother Imogene Howell Duncan, sisters Ashley Jolly and Christina Wright, aunt Betty Short(Jerry), cousins Jenna Howell, Joshua Sumner, Jeremy Armfield, Dustin Armfield, Shawn Armfield, Alex Armfield, Brad Armfield, and Missy Armfield, nieces Yulia Wright, Eva and Isabella Jolly, special friends Kenda Borden, Lacy Long, Bub, Justin Poore, Alyssa Poore, Justin Shannon, Allison Bryan and many more special friends and extended family.Funeral Service will be 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013 at Mayes Family Services, Downtown Chapel with Bobby Partin officiating. Military Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Liberty Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements by Mayes Family Services of Morristown, Downtown Chapel.
