SHINNSTON — Deloris Ann “Dody” Nay, 75, of Enterprise, passed away on September 16, 2010, at the St. Barbara’s Nursing Home in Monongah.
Deloris was born on June 1, 1935, in Carolina, WV, a daughter of the late Brooks Lucas and Faye Riddle Lucas.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Jennifer Nay of Adamsville; a daughter and son-in-law, LaDonna and Jimmie Ash of Enterprise; daughter, Trudy Acord of Winfield, WV; her sister, Jean Matheny; grandchildren, Jimmie Ash Jr. and his wife Rebecca, Mark Ash and his wife Tiffany, Courtney Nay, Quentin Acord, Wesley Acord; and great-grandchildren, Jonathan Grams, Abigail Ash, Andrew Ash and Emma Ash.
Deloris was a retired bookkeeper for the Vincent Lumber Company in Shinnston. She was a member of the St. James Evangelical Congregation Church and also a graduating member of the Shinnston High School Class of 1953.
Friends will be received at the Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike Street, Shinnston, on Saturday from 2:30-4:30 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at the funeral home at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Benjamon Simmons officiating. Interment will follow at the IOOF Cemetery in Enterprise.
