Harry G. ‘Jerry’ Monmirth
SHINNSTON — Harry G. “Jerry” Monmirth, 79, of Mesa, AZ, passed away in Scottsdale, AZ, on November 15, 2007.
Mr. Monmirth was born on January 7, 1928, in Enterprise, the son of the late Daymond Monmirth and Elizabeth Halko Monmirth.
Jerry was married to Joan Monmirth for over 55 years.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Monmirth is survived by one sister, Mary Lee O’Malley, of Warren, OH; one brother, Daymond E. Monmirth, of Norfolk, VA; and two nieces.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Thomas H. Monmirth and Ralph Larry Monmirth.
Mr. Monmirth was a lifetime member of the Clarksburg VFW 573 and a lifetime member of the Shinnston American Legion, Post 31.
He retired in 1990 from Motorola Government Electronics Group after 25 years of service.
A memorial service will be held at the Harmer Funeral Home on Friday, May 2, 2008, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Brian Plum officiating. Interment will follow at the Enterprise I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
