Bonnie Louise Wilt
LaVALE — Bonnie Louise Wilt, 82, LaVale, and formally of Grantsville, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at WMHS Regional Medical Center, Cumberland.
Born Aug. 22, 1935, in Confluence, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Sylvester and Mary Edna (Ruby) Skinner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond H. Wilt; two sons, Donald Roy Wilt and David Loy “Flakey” Wilt; and 12 brothers and sisters.
Bonnie was a homemaker who enjoyed bluegrass music and traveling. She was a member of Confluence V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.


She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Ray Wilt, Confluence, Billie Joe Wilt, Rockwood, Pa., and Robert Len Wilt, Swanton; four daughters, Betty Lue Tressler, Fort Hill, Pa., Barbara Lee Truman, LaVale, Peggy Sue Brown, Grantsville and Ellen Kay Spiker, LaVale; a sister, Janet Metheny, West Salem, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A. 179 Miller St., Grantsville, on Monday, June 4, from 2 to 9 p.m. A service will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, June 5, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Terry Collins officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Grantsville Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the family for the purchase of a headstone for her son, Flakey.

Barbara Truman
LaVALE — Barbara Lee Truman, 62, LaVale, formerly of Newton, W.Va., lost her battle with cancer on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at her residence.
Born March 14, 1957, in Confluence, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Bonnie (Skinner) Wilt.
She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Roy Wilt and David Loy “Flakey” Wilt.
Barbara was a procurement manager for Jacobs Engineering Group and active with multiple animal rescues. She was blessed with two four-legged companions, Hope and Dutchess.
She is survived by her husband, Dencil Edgar Truman, Newton; three brothers, Kenneth Ray (Tudy) Wilt, Confluence, Billie Joe Wilt, Rockwood, Pa., and Robert Len (Valerie) Wilt, Swanton; three sisters, Betty Lue (Clayton) Tressler, Fort Hill, Pa., Peggy Sue (Terry) Brown, Grantsville and Ellen Kay Spiker, LaVale.
She didn’t have any children of her own but adopted two children, Drew Evan Truman and Kaleigh Ellen Truman. She also helped raise many more children over the past 44 years including a very special granddaughter, Kayden Nicole Hoover.
Per Barbara’s request, no services will be held at this time.
There will be a celebration of life on June 2 at 1p.m. at the Grantsville Park preceding the Remembering Flakey Day Picnic.
Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, is in charge of cremation arrangements.
