WHARTON. William Oliver Wharton, 67, of Enterprise, died at 6:45 p.m. Monday in a Phillppl hospital where he had undergone an operation on August 11. Mr. Wharton was born March 3, 1877 at Proctor, a son of William and Sarah Smith Wharton. He was an employe[e] of the Shinnston Coal company. Surviving besides the widow, Alsiora Young Wharton, are the following children: Russell M. Wharton, Fairmont; Mrs. Robert Z. Smith, Hepaibah; Mrs. Bryan James, Shinnston; Mrs. Edward Buckett, McKees Rocks, Pa. ; Mrs. Jennings Burton, Clarksburg, and Mrs. James L. Tetrick, Midway. Four brothers, Charles, of Belpre, Ohio; John Webster and Junius, of Moundsville, and one sister, Mrs. Alma Smalley,

also of Moundsville.
